meet frank tolbard
Frank serves as the treasurer of Polaris Church. It's rare to know someone who literally helped build the foundation of a church with such a long history as this one. Frank was there to paint the walls and lay the floors over 50 years ago in the original church building and hasn't stopped serving since. He was the VP of a mortgage company for 47 years before retiring to enjoy time with his wife, Mary of 66 years - they have two children and two grandchildren. Frank came to Ohio from West Virginia in 1943 and has been making this city his home ever since.
If it's a Thursday, you'll find him at Gabby's with his daughter or lost in a conversation about the Reds and Buckeyes. He's a fan of history (used to travel visiting civil war sites with his wife), Gone With the Wind, and the over 80 hats he's accumulated over his lifetime! Among his prized possessions of Budweiser memorabilia is a personal kegerator - a gift from Mary on their 25th anniversary. On Sundays, you'll find him in the cafe, serving up coffee with a wave. Stop by and wish the Buckeyes luck!
