A worldview is a philosophy and view of the world, used for living in the world.

A worldview is a mental model of reality — a comprehensive framework of ideas attitudes about the world, ourselves, and life, a system of beliefs, a system of personally customized theories about the world and how it works.

Our worldview helps to shape these questions we all have:

·     What is our purpose in life?

·     What are your goals for life?

·     How will you make decisions in life?

·     What are your values and priorities in life?

·     What can we know, and with how much certainty, about life?

Wisdom / to be wise is having the power of discerning and judging properly as to what is true or right; possessing discernment, judgment, or discretion.

A wise worldview starts with God above, places self below, and lives daily from this position.

Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything. – Psalm 46:10 MSG

Start with God — the first step in learning is bowing down to God; only fools thumb their noses at such wisdom and learning. – Proverbs 1:7 MSG

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. – James 1:5-6 NIV

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.  – James 3:13-16 NIV

Real wisdom, God’s wisdom, begins with a holy life and is characterized by getting along with others. It is gentle and reasonable, overflowing with mercy and blessings, not hot one day and cold the next, not two-faced. You can develop a healthy, robust community that lives right with God and enjoy its results only if you do the hard work of getting along with each other, treating each other with dignity and honor. – James 3:17-18 MSG

Conclusion:

Consider a wise worldview: Start with God above, place self below, and live daily from this position.

Consider this tip: Humility is the key that unlocks the treasure of a wise worldview.

Consider this advantage: A wise worldview remains the same – in the good, bad, and in-between.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:6-7 NIV
